This, coupled with a decline in ad revenue for major broadcasters, led to reduced funding for new ventures. Furthermore, external factors such as strikes in the US also reverberated across shores, impacting our post-production and VFX segments.

 

However, amidst these challenges lies an opportunity for growth and transformation. The industry forecasts a turnaround by the middle of 2024 as animation production gears up momentum after the slowdown in commissioning new projects. Government incentives aimed at boosting competitiveness and fostering foreign collaborations offer a glimmer of hope on the horizon.

 

Moreover, the surge in US demand for adult animation presents a promising avenue for outsourcing work, tapping into new market opportunities. Collaboration remains key as industry partnerships pave the way for global co-productions and financing opportunities, bolstering our resilience in the face of adversity.
